Put simply, I want my work to improve continuously, be the best it can possibly be and give me the satisfaction of a job well done. The feeling that the current job is better than the last one is a warm glow. In the long-term I hope I can feel that I have achieved something worthwhile and not only of personal satisfaction but of value to others in any number of ways—be it practical value, entertainment, information, etc. The feeling of being appreciated and valued is a powerful reward. Working in an environment of feedback & exchange can provide positive motivation.
“I have worked on joint presentations with Chrissie on a couple of occasions. She is highly professional and dedicated. I would not hesitate for a minute to ask for her cooperation on a future project if appropriate.” —Paul Gambaccini, May 18, 2010
“Chrissie’s done a brilliant job setting up my new website. She’s been a pleasure to work with. Informal and friendly, at the same time, she’s imaginative, with a good professional eye for detail. And she delivers on time! I’d be very happy to hire her again in future.” —Mary Talbot, August 25, 2011
“I engaged Chrissie to write many important entries in my reference guide, 1001 Comics You Must Read Before You Die, which she supplied to a very high standard, bringing her knowledge and insights to this project. I would have no hesitation in commissioning her for future writing or editorial assignments and recommend her highly.” —Paul Gravett, September 1, 2011
