Chez Chrissie: The Interweb Presence of Chrissie Harper
Club Vamporama Cover Pencils

Okay, haven’t blogged for a while. Here’s the news…

Have completed colour-flats on Bryan Talbot‘s forthcoming Grandville BĂȘte Noire up to page 50 as of today (preview of page 11 here). Quite pleased with how that’s been going. But we’re here for the Comicana slash Vamporama news. The Webcomic incarnation may be developed as a ‘proper’ comic, or should that be graphic novella, running roughly 45 pages, full script by Liz B and drawn on larger paper, etc. The official title is Club Vamporama (volume one).

I completed the pencils for possible cover today—see below! Click to enlarge, as per usual. More info as and when. Possibly looking for someone to ink the pages—I don’t want to do it myself. I’d prefer to concentrate on the pencilling. If anyone reading this is interested, please drop me a line.

Nice cover, Chrissie. If you can get up to speed, there’s no reason why you can’t get published somewhere.
Now, if you can just market yourself to some publishers, and maintain patience, this cover is ample proof of what you can do. Do you have any paper comics in print for people to order? Or has it been webcomics exclusively up to now? Just curious.

Good to hear that you are doing well. I agree with the pros at Quality, this project looks like a winner.

  • Mike Hill says:

    Very nice.

Can’t wait to see how John inks your pencils. Although he has quite a fluid approach, his inks can be quite tight, with a firm line. Should make for an intriguing artistic coupling.

Really nice creature feature feel to this. Will be great to see it inked.
